Fruit. I absolutely love fruit. Not just one particular fruit, all fruit. If I had to pick a favorite though, it would be raspberries and blackberries. The time for me to come up with an easy way to enjoy them outside the container has been long over do. You know that feeling? Well, that is where this easy and delicious 3 ingredient cinnamon roll berry turnover came into play.
I knew I didn’t have time to waste making homemade pastry dough. Luckily, there are lots of premade, ready to go dough available. Why cinnamon rolls? We seriously keep Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in stock at all times. My kids love them! If you think about it, the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls come with icing. Double win! These turnovers can be made with only 3 simple ingredients: raspberries, blackberries and a can of cinnamon rolls. Nothing else necessary since the cinnamon rolls come ready with their tub of cream cheese icing.
The cream cheese icing can be used inside the turnovers as well as a dip for after the turnovers have baked. This is one turnover that you will not want to share, I guarantee it! I wanted to have these for our Easter brunch, and regretted not making more. It was very hard to share.
Another great thing about these turnovers is that you can switch up the cinnamon roll options. I know there are many different flavors of Pillsbury cinnamon roll: orange flavored, hot cocoa, strawberry, cream cheese icing and butter cream icing. Whatever you are feeling that day, go with it! I bet the orange flavored cinnamon rolls would add a delicious twist to the turnover.
Not a fan of raspberries or blackberries? My husband is not a fan of raspberries. He refuses to even eat raspberry-flavored candies. If you are like him, you can omit those raspberries. Throw in some blueberries or quartered strawberries instead.
The options are endless.

3 Ingredient Cinnamon Roll Berry Turnover
Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 can Pillsbury Bakery-Style Cinnamon Rolls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Wash and dry both the blackberries and raspberries
- Place the cinnamon rolls together, cinnamon side facing up. You will have 3 rows: 2 with 3 rolls and 1 with 2 rolls. Pinch the edges of the cinnamon rolls together the best you can.
- Roll out the cinnamon rolls, about 1/4" thick.
- Spread about 1/2 of the cream cheese icing onto the rolled out cinnamon rolls.
- Scatter the fruit on top, making sure to not place them to close to the edge.
- Roll all the sides up and pinch them in the center. If you see any cracks, you can go back and pinch them closed.
- Bake for 22-24 minutes, until the outside is lightly browned. Remove from the oven an allow to cool for about 10 minutes before moving to a plate and cutting. Some cream cheese may have leaked out, but that is ok! Serve with the left over cream cheese icing.
