Halloween with some whoopie pies.
I am back with another yummy Halloween dessert. I mean, I just can’t help it. Baking is my past time. After receiving the Pillsbury Baking Funfetti™ Slime Chocolate Cake Mix and Funfetti™ Slime Frosting, I had no choice but to get to baking. These Halloween Whoopie Pies are not only delicious, but so easy! See for yourself.
Slime in the kitchen, and the kitchen is clean.
We have made our fair share of slime in this house, and it took a few times of making it in the kitchen to realize outside was a much better option. All of you who have dealt with slime know what I am talking about. Well, this slime I am mentioning today is the most delicious slime I have ever had. Okay, it isn’t the same slime as the one we make with the glue. Pillsbury Baking has brought us a fun and creative slime this Halloween season.
Funfetti™ Slime Cake Mix and Funfetti™ Slime Frosting is now available in stores, and comes with the yummy addition of sprinkles! We decided to make a fun whoopie pie instead of the basic cake or cupcakes. These whoopie pies are exactly what we all need this Halloween. My son had a blast making these because they are just that easy.

Spooky baking.
There is no better way to get the kids in the kitchen than with an easy recipe that is also fun. The addition of purple and black sprinkles, plus black-and-white eyeball sprinkles with the slime frosting had my son laughing as he rolled the whoopie pies into them.
Halloween Whoopie Pies
Halloween Whoopie Pies are an easy and delicious way to bring a spooky dessert to the table, thanks to Pillsbury Baking Funfetti™ Slime Chocolate Cake Mix and Funfetti™Slime Frosting.
Ingredients
- 1 box of Funfetti™ Slime Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 container of Funfetti™ Slime Frosting
- 1 egg
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter.
- Beat until all combined. It will become a very thick batter, almost like play dough.
- Roll the batter into 1" balls and place on a parchement paper lined baking sheet. You should get about 18-20 balls
- Using the bottom of a cup, press the balls down about half way.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are a lighter brown (a different shade of brown from before baking)
- While the cookies are baking, prepare the frosting. Scoop out the entire container of frosting into a gallon ziploc bag. Try to remove all the air and press the frosting the bottom of the bag.
- Remove from oven and allow to completely cool, about 5 minutes
- Flip all the cookies over, flat side up. Then match them up according to size.
- Cut the tip off of one corner of the frosting ziploc bag. Place about a quarter-size of the frosting into the middle of half of the cookies. Then place the other cookie on top, gently pressing down. You want some frosting to be close to the edge so it can pick up the sprinkles.
- Pour the sprinkles out of the frosting lid onto a plate. Roll each whoopie pie into the sprinkles.
- Enjoy!
Have a faBOOlous Halloween.
Don’t wait too long to grab this awesomeness that Pillsbury Baking has brought to the stores. I stocked up on the Funfetti™ Slime Frosting the last time I was at Target. Wishing you all a great October!
