Spooky Spider Halloween Snack with Mini Babybel

October 8, 2018 · In: Recipes, Side Dishes

This post is sponsored by Bel Brands USA & Mini Babybel® Cheese, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

This family can only think about all things Halloween related right now! As a mother of 3, I am trying to find ways to keep things a little healthy during this fun and spooky season! Thankful for Mini Babybel® to make snack time an easy, healthy and playful one.

Making snack time a fun time!

My kids are all about snack time, especially right when they get off the bus. They run through the front door like ravenous animals. If your kids are anything like mine, then they will love this spooky spider snack made with only 3 ingredients!

Ingredients:

Mini Babybel® Cheese Original Flavor: try and grab the Halloween cellos for added fun!

Sliced black olives

Pretzel sticks

Assembling those spooky spider snacks with Mini Babybel®!

These spooky spider snacks are so much fun to assemble and eat! Each child will need 1 Mini Babybel® Cheese Original flavor, 4 pretzel sticks, and 2 slices of a black olive. The pretzel sticks will be carefully broken in half to give 8 pieces. Once you have the 8 ‘spider legs’, your child will press each pretzel stick piece into the side of the cheese: 4 on each side. The cheese should now resemble a spider with 4 legs on each side! Lastly, place the olive slices somewhere on the cheese to give the spider some ‘eyes’.

If your child doesn’t like olives, you can omit them or get creative with another option. Maybe a different flavor of Mini Babybel® Cheese with ‘eyes’ cut from it?! The options are endless with Mini Babybel® Cheese! Check out the video at the end of this post to see them being assembled.

Spooky Spider Snacks perfect for school parties or Halloween night.

These spooky spider snacks are perfect for more than just an afternoon snack. Prep this for a Halloween school party or even a snack before going trick or treating! Another cute idea would be to put the pretzel sticks and Mini Babybel® Cheese in a ziploc bag, write on the bag ‘To make 1 Spooky Spider Snack’, and give to kids for a fun Halloween treat to make at home.

Thank you Mini Babybel® Cheese for making our Halloween extra fun and creative. Find your Mini Babybel® Cheese at your local Target. There is a Cartwheel coupon for 10% of Mini Babybel® Cheese NOW through early November! Click here for more information —–> https://ooh.li/2dfbd1a

Mini Babybel® is the snack cheese with the great taste experience that the whole family will enjoy. The experience of Mini Babybel® sparks childlike joy for everyone in the family, it is fun, delicious goodness for the whole family!

Happy Halloween!

A spicy pasta recipe that is so good! Maddy DeVita A spicy pasta recipe that is so good! Maddy DeVita knew what she was doing with this Spicy Tomato Tagliatelle as did @seventhgeneration with their Clementine Zest & Lemongrass Dish Soap, 95% Biobased Formula. It helps tackle grease WITHOUT all the extra effort. Giving more time to delicious meals and family time and not extra when it comes to cleaning!

What you need:
1/2 pound egg tagliatelle
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more if you’re feeling bold)
4 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup finely grated parm, plus more for topping Kosher salt, as needed

What you do:
Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil (don’t be shy - this is your pasta’s only chance to season itself properly). Cook the tagliatelle until 1 or 2 minutes shy of al dente, following package instructions.
• While the pasta cooks, warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and let them gently sizzle until fragrant and beginning to brown, about 3 minutes.
Remember, as Nonna would say, “DON’T let the garlic burn!”
• Add the tomato paste to the skillet. Break it up into the oil and fry for about 2 minutes until it deepens in color and gets a little caramelized- this step is key for building the rich flavor of our sauce, don’t skipl
• Add a ladle of pasta water to the skillet and whisk, scraping up any caramelized bits, until a smooth sauce forms.
When the pasta is 1 or 2 minutes shy of al dente, use tongs to transfer the pasta straight from the pot. Toss over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes, adding more pasta water as needed, until the pasta has finished cooking and the sauce has thickened up around the pasta.
• Turn off the heat, then stir in the parm until it melts into the sauce like it belongs there (because it does).
• Serve immediately. Try not to eat it straight from the pan... but no promises.

Enjoy 😘
