Take the 4 slices of bread and trim off all the crust; then cut each slice into 3 equal 'sticks'
Combine the white sugar, cinnamon, salt, and purple sugar sprinkles on a plate;
Combine the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl; it may be easier to mix with a whisk to get the eggs mixed well with the other ingredients
Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat
Once the butter is melted, roll the sticks one at a time in the egg mixture, not allowing them to soak; do this in 2 batches, or however many your skillet will accommodate
Cook sticks about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown
Immediately transfer from pan to plate with sugar mixture and roll until stick is covered.
Serve these sticks with a dipping bowl of maple syrup!
