Easter is right around the corner.
I seriously can not believe that Easter is right around the corner. I have been so behind on prepping everything for Easter. Here I am with some of my favorite find when creating an Easter basket ideas for your kids!
Thinking outside of the basket.
I have been using Easter baskets for years. The kids get a basket full of fun treats Easter Sunday. These baskets always end up broken before the next year or just take up unnecessary space. This year I have decided to do away with the traditional Easter baskets and use more practical items for gifting this Easter.
Dump trucks are perfect for Easter Basket Ideas.
One of the best routes on replacing those Easter baskets is by using a practical toy or item to hold the fillers. I am loving the idea of dump trucks as a basket. You can fill the back of the dump truck with the Easter fillers! Plus, the kids would love to be able to dump out the fillers. Then the kids can have endless amounts of time after Easter with the dump truck.
Rain boots are more than boots.
I have seen rain boots being used to hold flowers and now they are holding Easter filler. I know that my girls’ needed a new pair of rain boots, so why not gift them for Easter? I found some super cute ones at Target, and plan to fill them with Easter fillers.
A reusable basket, not just a wicker basket.
More great Easter Basket ideas are to use baskets that can actually be used as a basket for storing after Easter. I have also used sand buckets as well since summer isn’t too far away. This gives more purpose to the Easter basket, and you don’t feel like you are wasting money on a basket that will just break or be put in storage. I grabbed the girls these cute baskets from Target! I plan to use them in their rooms afterwards for storing their things.
Easter Basket Fillers.
There are so many options when it comes to basket fillers. From candy to bubbles, you can’t go wrong. I know many opt for non-candy options. A few of my favorites for this is play dough, watercolor paint sets, building blocks, and other little nick knacks that would entertain your kids.
I am ok with giving my kids a little candy in their Easter baskets. I always go with Peep, Reese’s Eggs, and a few other Easter themed candies! I have even gifted gift cards to the local parks. So many great options out there for filling those Easter baskets.
Drive up pick up makes Easter planning easier.
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that Target drive up pickup has saved me this Easter. I have not had the time (or energy) to get myself into Target to figure out Easter treats for my kids. First off, I don’t have a chance to go without kids. Secondly, I easily get distracted in Target and wouldn’t leave with just Easter treats. I know you all know what I am talking about. So left it all up to Target drive up pick up this year, and don’t regret it!
