National Pizza Month is upon us, and we are here for it!

Did you know that the month of October is National Pizza Month? It most certainly is, and this family is all for celebrating! Pizza is one of those meals that is great any time of the day. This is only one of the reasons why we celebrate. Keep reading for all the reasons we are loving to celebrate this month!

Never Fly Solo during National Pizza Month with Red Baron

All the good reasons to enjoy pizza during National Pizza Month.

The great thing about pizza is that it can be made so many different ways. If you have children with a specific food allergy, you can opt for a pizza that is made without those allergens. Don’t like veggies on your pizza? Well, that can easily be adjusted. My kids always know what type of pizza they want with no questions asked.

This brings me to the concept of a mom-win dinner.

Pizza is a mom-win dinner.

I find that our month of October is a little more chaotic than the previous months. Fall extracurricular activities are on high-gear, and we all can’t forget celebrating Halloween at the end of the month. Pizza is the perfect dinner option for busy families. It is usually loved by all and super easy to get to the dinner table.

Pizza is a perfect meal prep option.

You all now know that the month of October is National Pizza Month and that pizza is great for picky eaters, it can be eaten any time of the day, and is a mom-win when it comes to dinner.

Pizza is a fabulous option when it comes to meal prepping. Whether you are for preparing a homemade pizza to grabbing a pizza from the freezer aisle of grocery stores nationwide, you can have it ready to go when you need it. Pizza is great to have on the menu for this very reason. I am here for meal prepping, especially with pizza in mind.

Another easy weekday dinner idea? I got you with t Another easy weekday dinner idea? I got you with this Chicken Pot Pie made with @keystonemeats . This recipe is so good, so simple, and cozy ( y’all know what I mean 😂). The Keystone Canned Chicken makes it easier with it being fully cooked premium meat - NOTHING to thaw or cook, and it only contains 2 clean ingredients.

Chicken Pot Pie:

Filling-
1 can of KEYSTONE Canned Chicken, 28oz (drained)
2 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, 10.5oz
1 cup of chicken broth
1 bag of frozen mixed veggies, 16oz

Topping -
1 cup of milk
1 cup of self-rising flour
1 stick of butter, melted

Mix the filling ingredients and pour into a 9x13 casserole dish or a large deep dish pie dish ( like me!). Mix the topping ingredients, then pour on top. Bake uncovered at 450 for ~45 minutes or until golden brown.

Grab your KEYSTONE Canned Chicken online, Walmart, Kroger, Giant Eagle, or Meijer!

Busy week and need a quick - easy meal? This one p Busy week and need a quick - easy meal? This one pot lasagna is 🙌🏻

Ingredients:

2lbs ground meat
1/2 white onion, diced
1 - 28oz can of whole peeled tomatoes
1 -18oz of tomato sauce
16.9oz Kettle & Fire Chicken Broth
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
16oz ricotta cheese
1lb of Gigli Noodles
Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and Italian seasoning

Brown ground meat and sauté onions on med-high heat; add tomatoes and sauce and cook until tomatoes cook down, add seasonings; add noodles and broth; make sure all noodles are covered before putting lid on pan. Cook for about ~15 minutes, until noodles are al dente. While noodles cook, prep ricotta cheese mixture ( ricotta, 3/4c mozzarella and 1/4c Parmesan) as well as seasoned with Italian seasoning and salt.

Once noodles are done, fold in ~1/4c mozzarella then top with more mozzarella and place lid- heat on low - just to melt cheeses; now top with ricotta mixture and place in oven under broil with no lid long enough to lightly brown ricotta cheese and melt it.

Enjoy!!
