Valentine’s treats are meant to be sweet.
I couldn’t help myself with that heading! Valentine’s treats should be sweet, in all its meanings. Celebrating Valentine’s Day with kids can be a lot of fun when you include them in the celebration, like with these Valentine’s cookie bars. With only 3 ingredients, they are not only easy but also delicious.
3 Ingredients, but only 1 ingredient needed for my heart.
There is no need to make things complicated when it isn’t necessary. These 3 ingredient Valentine’s cookie bars seriously only require 3 ingredients, 4 if you include the frosting. Most of y’all probably already have these 3 ingredients on hand: 1 box of cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/3 cup of melted butter. That is literally all you need to make these cookie bars!
We decided to go with Pillsbury Funfetti baking products because you can never go wrong with Pillsbury. Plus, Funfetti adds the touch of fun with the added sprinkles. If you go for the frosting, make sure to grab Pillsbury Funfetti frosting as well because it comes with the sprinkles in the top! You can never go wrong with more sprinkles.
How easy are these cookie bars?
Let me tell you, they are pretty darn easy! If you prep it all ahead of time, like melt the butter and crack the eggs, your toddler can truly assist with the rest of the prep work up until the need to go into the oven. Then once you take the cookie sheet out, let the cool for at least 10 minutes before handling.
My toddler could not wait to use her Valentine’s cookie cutters on these cookie bars! It reminds me of the fun you can have doing cut out sugar cookies. The cookie cutters are easy to use with these cookie bars. If they crack for any reason, you can use a little ( or a lot) of frosting to put them back together.
Now for the recipe!
