Coffee Recipes and Finding Energy During the Summer

May 30, 2019 · In: Beverage, Recipes

This post is sponsored by Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

First off, where is my coffee? The summer months come with lots of fun and the need for more energy to keep up with kids who are out of school as well as all the camps and team practices being held. How is one to find the necessary energy to keep up with all of this madness? Well, here is a few tips that are helping to keep me trucking along with all that is scheduled.

Chameleon Cold Brew

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

This phrase has more than one meaning for me this summer. With swim team practices most mornings, swim meets, fun camps, 3 active kids, and hours spent at the pool, one not only feels the need to keep swimming in that chlorinated pool. I have to dig deep and find the drive to just ‘keep swimming’ with the madness of each day. Finding that necessary energy during the summer months seems much more difficult due to the lack of a structured routine. Summers are meant for fun but some things must give so that we all survive.

So how do we do this?

Find time to chill.

Yep, you are hearing me right. You have got to find that time to just chill. By taking time to relax and do something for yourself, you will find a way to have that extra energy. There is something about some self care time that mentally prepares me for each day, giving way to some energy. This can be anything from reading a book or going for a quick run. It is hard to find that chill time with kids at home, but you must make it a priority. Give those kids their quiet time, like reading a book or coloring. Then you get to your self care time!

Coffee the right way: Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate.

This one word brings me energy: coffee. I have always been a lover of coffee, prepared any way. Starting my day off with a cup of coffee just makes things right in the world. Anyone else with me on this? With the hot Louisiana heat during the summer, a nice cold cup of coffee is a must. Don’t get me wrong here. I still love a steaming hot cup of coffee. Coffee is my jam no matter cold or hot. Fixing my coffee cold has never been so good since grabbing Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate.

Chameleon Cold Brew

The endless options of Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate.

Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate is literally the best thing coffee-related I have ever found. Not only is it stored in the refrigerator, ready to go whenever I need it, but it can be prepared however you want it! The folks at Chameleon Cold-Brew first carefully select the world’s finest specialty grade, organic coffee beans and gently roast them to ensure no bean gets burned. No one likes burnt coffee beans!

Chameleon Cold Brew

Next, they steep the coffee grounds for more than 12 hours. This creates a cold brew coffee concentrate that’s super smooth, low acid, and highly caffeinated – in other words, Chameleon makes the most of its cold brew so you can make the most of your day. This is a coffee I can get behind.

With it being a concentrate, it must be diluted. You can dilute it however you want! Add your favorite milk or nut milk, and enjoy. You can even at it to your smoothie. Talk about a great way to start out the day!

So where can you find your Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate? Check out the refrigerated section in your local Kroger. I promise you, I will be a frequent shopper in that part of the store.

Chameleon Cold Brew

Enjoy the summer and have the energy to go along with it.

Get to planning those summer activities and have the energy to go along with them. Take it from this mom of 3, you will love having Chameleon Cold-Brew Concentrate stocked in your refrigerator this summer.

Another easy weekday dinner idea? I got you with t Another easy weekday dinner idea? I got you with this Chicken Pot Pie made with @keystonemeats . This recipe is so good, so simple, and cozy ( y’all know what I mean 😂). The Keystone Canned Chicken makes it easier with it being fully cooked premium meat - NOTHING to thaw or cook, and it only contains 2 clean ingredients.

Chicken Pot Pie:

Filling-
1 can of KEYSTONE Canned Chicken, 28oz (drained)
2 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, 10.5oz
1 cup of chicken broth
1 bag of frozen mixed veggies, 16oz

Topping -
1 cup of milk
1 cup of self-rising flour
1 stick of butter, melted

Mix the filling ingredients and pour into a 9x13 casserole dish or a large deep dish pie dish ( like me!). Mix the topping ingredients, then pour on top. Bake uncovered at 450 for ~45 minutes or until golden brown.

Grab your KEYSTONE Canned Chicken online, Walmart, Kroger, Giant Eagle, or Meijer!

Busy week and need a quick - easy meal? This one p Busy week and need a quick - easy meal? This one pot lasagna is 🙌🏻

Ingredients:

2lbs ground meat
1/2 white onion, diced
1 - 28oz can of whole peeled tomatoes
1 -18oz of tomato sauce
16.9oz Kettle & Fire Chicken Broth
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
16oz ricotta cheese
1lb of Gigli Noodles
Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and Italian seasoning

Brown ground meat and sauté onions on med-high heat; add tomatoes and sauce and cook until tomatoes cook down, add seasonings; add noodles and broth; make sure all noodles are covered before putting lid on pan. Cook for about ~15 minutes, until noodles are al dente. While noodles cook, prep ricotta cheese mixture ( ricotta, 3/4c mozzarella and 1/4c Parmesan) as well as seasoned with Italian seasoning and salt.

Once noodles are done, fold in ~1/4c mozzarella then top with more mozzarella and place lid- heat on low - just to melt cheeses; now top with ricotta mixture and place in oven under broil with no lid long enough to lightly brown ricotta cheese and melt it.

Enjoy!!
