This weather has me excited for spring, Air Fryer Rice Paper Pork Spring Rolls.
The weather here in Louisiana is so nice right now. It honestly feels like it is spring, when the weather isn’t too hot or too cold. It is just right. I have been wanting to cook something up in my air fryer, and these air fryer rice paper pork spring rolls came to mind. I mean, why not? They are easy and so good!
Using an air fryer.
When it comes to using an air fryer for any recipe, it really isn’t too difficult. You just need to figure out the temperature to cook on and how long to cook it. I don’t think things necessarily cook faster in an air fryer, but they are easy and a much healthier version of frying.
Another helpful item I am using when I am cooking with my air fryer are these liners. These are so good, and make it easier to cook things that have a tendency of making a mess or sticking. Make sure you spray them lightly some sort of non-stick spray. This will keep whatever your cooking from sticking to the liner.
Ground Pork or your other protein of choice
For these Air Fryer Rice Paper Pork Spring Rolls, I went with ground pork. I love ground pork with Asian flavors. You can also opt the ground pork for ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken. The ground chicken and ground turkey can be a little dry, so keep that in mind.
What about those rice paper wrappers?
I have always wanted to do something with rice paper wrappers. This was the first time using them. Let me tell you, they are really easy to use! The important part of using rice paper wrappers is to wet them for long enough, a few seconds. You will not be able to use them if they are placed placed in water because they are too stiff. If you place them in water for too long, they will practically dissolve.
You want to submerge the rice paper wrappers enough so that you are able to work with them.
Let’s talk about sauces.
You will see that I used soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and infused honey with hot chili. You can opt the infused honey with hot chili for sriracha sauce. Another yummy sauce you can add to these air fryer rice paper pork spring rolls is yummy sauce. Yep, you heard me right. The one we like is actually called Yum Yum Sauce, lol!
I am for more heat when it comes to these kind of recipes. If the heat isn’t for you, you can add a more sweet sauce instead.

Springing into meal prepping.
Going to leave you with this idea: meal prepping! I know I am throwing this in at the very end. The way I look at it, you are more likely to remember it now that if I had mentioned it at the very beginning 😉 These Air Fryer Rice Paper Pork Spring Rolls are great for meal prepping as well. You can have the slaw mix read to go as well as the cooked ground pork. The only thing you will need to do is assemble and fry! I have not tried these spring rolls directly from the freezer, but you can prep the all the way to the point right before you place them in the air fryer.
Wrap them with parchment paper, then with aluminum foil. You will probably need to add at least 5 minutes to the cook time. Again, I have not attempted this yet. It is on my list of things to try! As soon as I do, I will update you all!
