Y’all know it is almost that time! Football tailgating is right around the corner, and we are here for it. Having that tailgating food spread is one of the most important parts of a football tailgating! We always have this Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball on our tailgating spread, and it is a crowd favorite!
A Dip that is for Veggies and Carbs.
Don ‘t you just love a recipe that can be served with multiple things? It makes it fun when its versatile and easier to please then crowd. This Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball can be served with veggies or crackers. My son loves to eat this cheese ball with veggie straws!
Still a cheesy Cheese ball
Just as the name says, this cheese ball does contain cheese! The 2 main cheeses this recipe includes is sharp cheddar cheese and cream cheese. I think the sharp cheddar goes great with the ranch and bacon, but you can always switch it out with your favorite cheese.

When I am in a pinch with time, I will go to the store bought real bacon pieces. You can most definitely use cooked bacon and crumble it up!
Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball
If you are all about tailgating, then you need this Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball at your tailgate! It is simple and great for veggies, chips, and crackers!
Ingredients
- 2- 8oz cream cheese blocks, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (plus 3 tbsp for topping)
- 1/4 cup bacon bits (plus 1 tbsp for topping)
Instructions
- Mix up the cream cheese and sour cream until creamy.
- Then add the ranch seasoning and mix well. Then mix in the bacon pieces and the sharp cheddar cheese.
- Mold into a football shape and top with the rest of the bacon pieces and shredded cheese.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve with crackers, chips and veggies!
