We are officially in ‘Back to School’ mode around here. I still can’t believe my older two kids will be starting back next week! Isn’t always bittersweet when the summer ends though? Both a mixture of sad that the fun, easy-going days with all kids home for the summer will be over but also so glad to have a routine, less messes, and less fighting! Oh summer time! Uniforms, backpacks, and all school supplies have been bought. I knew though that I still needed to come up with some good breakfast and lunch ideas to make this school year at least start out more smoothly.
Staying organized is one of the ways I can maintain my sanity. Getting at least a few meal/snack ideas before the school year begins will make things a tad bit less chaotic. I know my kids love cereal, but sometimes just pouring cereal and milk in a bowl can seem to be too much to do on a busy school morning. I know what some may be thinking, get those kids up earlier to have more time to enjoy breakfast. Well, some days that just isn’t happening around here. Some days I am good to even have them dressed with matching shoes on.
Fruity Pebbles Cereal Bars
My oldest opted for a recipe with Fruity Pebbles, one of her favorite cereals. So, here you have it. A Fruity Pebbles cereal bar recipe. It is very similar to your basic rice krispy treats. Another thing to note is that the cereal can be switched out with a different one. If you do switch it out, just remember that the larger the cereal, the harder it may be for it to stay together.
My daughter loves these cereal bars. They are easy to make and great for a quick, on-the-go breakfast. So here’s to all of you parents preparing for the new school year…..wishing you all the very best school year yet!

Fruity Pebbles Cereal Bars
Ingredients
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 tablespoons Butter, unsalted
- 4 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients, and measure them out
- To a medium sized saucepan, add the butter, evaporated milk, and marshmallows.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring until the butter and marshmallows melt.
- Once marshmallows and butter have melted. add the cereal. Stir until well-mixed.
- Pour the cereal mixture into a 8x10 baking dish, and press down. Allow to sit for 30 minutes or until the bars have set.

Notes

These look so fun! What a twist off of a rice crispy treat. This could easily become my kids’ favorite treat!
Thank you! My daughter loves them!
One of the gas stations near me sells these in a cup and I have to grab them every time I’m there. So addictive! I’m glad I found your recipe so I can start making them myself!
