One thing we look forward to each and every summer is the Chick Fil A Cow Day. Well, we all know how things are going this summer with Covid-19. Complete and total bummer! Thankful for my good friend Summer for helping me put together our very own little Cow Day Party at home this year with a yummy cookie dough ice cream recipe! Don’t let the quarantine keep you from celebrating this year.
Cow Day Party Supplies
The first thing you will need are those adorable cow ears! Chick Fil A usually has a printable online, but you can also create your very own with a headband, felt, and some glue. For more stiff cow ears, use cardboard for backing (great use for all online purchases’ cardboard boxes). Cow print plates, red napkins and cups are the line of for the tableware.
No Cow Day Party without the Chick Fil A.
You can’t have a Cow Day Party without some Chick Fil A. We are all for some Chick Fil A and right now they have it going on when it comes to keeping things safe and in order during the wild times. I ordered our food and drinks ahead of time via curbside pickup. They had it out in a jiffy once we arrived!
Besides for Chick Fil A being on the menu, we had the yummy and oh so cute Chick Fil A cookies from The Deaux Shack. Lastly, I can’t forget my cookie dough ice cream. It is too good not to share with all of you. So check it out below!
Crafts are a party must.
There always needs to be some form of entertainment at a party, whether it is a game or crafts. For our Cow Day Party, we had 2 fun crafts on the list: cow book marks and a cow face from paper plates. Check out them out here!
Celebrating can be just as fun at home.
With all that is going on right now, it may seem like a bummer to not be able to attend parties and gatherings like before. We just have to make more of an effort while at home to make the most of it! Look at Beaux! He is all about this party at home with ice cream 😉
Hoping you all are staying well and enjoy a Cow Day Party while you all are at it!
Hugs!
The Best Cookie Dough Ice Cream Ever
Equipment
- Ice Cream Maker
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk
- 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar, granulated
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 cups cookie dough bites Pilsbury Eat or Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Instructions
- Prep the cookie dough bites by removing small pieces from the main cookie dough roll. You can create little bite size portions by rolling them or just leaving them like little chunks.
- Add all the ingredients, minus the cookie dough bites, to a large bowl and whisk until well mixed. Then stir in the cookie dough bites.
- If you aren't ready to make the ice cream right away, you can place in the refrigerator to chill. If you are ready, pour the mixture into the chilled ice cream canister.
- Prep the ice cream maker with the ice and rock salt. Turn on the machine and let it churn for at least 1 hour. Once the ice cream has set, you can remove from the canister and pour into a storage container. Place in the freezer until you are ready to enoy!

This is a great idea for the kids. I haven’t made homemade ice cream since I was a child with my grandmother. Makes me want to do this with my daughter.
