I never knew how much planning a Disney World Trip with kids entailed. We took our very first family vacation to Disney this past month. Let me tell you, there is a lot more planning involved than I could have ever imagined! One of the most important aspects is where to stay. While we had our accommodations at the resort hosted, the reviews expressed are my own.

Getting to Orlando with kids in tow was a task in itself. We knew driving wasn’t an option coming from Baton Rouge. So flying direct was a must, and it was such a great decision! Then what? Having a place to relax (and sleep) in between trips to the WDW parks was next on our agenda. Did you know that there is an Official WALT DISNEY WORLD® Hotel perfect for families, and it also offers more value than most of the other resorts on the property? Yep, you are hearing me right! We know first hand because we stayed there during our WDW family vacation. The newly renovated Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Area has so much to offer to all those visiting Orlando, especially when it comes to Disney.
Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Area is located on 13 Lake Front Acres in Disney Springs® (formerly Downtown Disney), meaning it is literally a walk away from Disney Springs® and less than 2 miles to Disney Theme Parks. We were able to take a Disney Theme Park shuttle to all the parks. Saved us the worry and money when it comes to the driving and parking, and there is so much more!
Staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort takes your vacation to an all-new level with its FastPass+ and Walt Disney World Extra Magic Hours. You can book all your FastPass 60 Days before evening arriving! Once you arrive, you can then take advantage of staying later at any of the parks with the Extra Magic Hours pass. Sounds pretty amazing, huh? Wait, there is more!
Breakfast with characters on the grounds.
Do your kids want to have a breakfast with 1 or 2 of the characters? This is such a fun thing to do on a Disney World Trip. Well, all ages can enjoy the Disney Character Breakfast served on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings when staying at Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Complex. Dine with those Disney Characters at the LakeView Restaurant while enjoying wonderful, buffet style breakfast that boasts over 50 different items to choose from. It was so awesome to be able to wake up and walk over to the LakeView Restaurant, all at a very affordable price too.
Recreational facilities for when you need that park down time.
There may be a day when everyone just needs some down time. A day where you can hang out around the resort instead of rushing around to all the parks. Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Complex have so much to offer on the grounds with their recreational facilities! Kids of all ages will love the Oasis Aquatic Pool Playground, an exciting focal point of this family friendly resort featuring two pools, interactive water features, and a large hot tub. So many renovations underway in the Oasis Aquatic Pool area too. I can’t wait to see the upgrades!
Along with the relaxing Oasis Aquatic Pool Playground, there are also two lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, game room, and a state of the art fitness center.

The Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Complex has 2 hotels in 1: Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort is the part of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort Complex that gives a big bang for its buck. Each of the hotel’s 394 tastefully appointed guest rooms are located in one of the hotel’s two 5-story buildings with its courtyard-style feature, exterior entrances that allow you to enjoy the beautiful view of the courtyard and enjoy the breeze along the walkway. These rooms were perfect for our family! With either two double beds or one king bed, activity table/chairs, and a mini refrigerator to name a few. It was the perfect getaway for when we were not spending time at the parks.
The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Resort offers all the amazing aspects that other Official WALT DISNEY WORLD® Hotels offer but at such an affordable price. How awesome, right? When you are already wanting to have the funds for all the activities at the WDW Parks and all that light up gear at every booth, no reason to spend so much on the room when you don’t have too. This is why I am so glad to have the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Resort for our family vacation!

Did you know that the Wyndham & Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs™ Resort Complex has a Sundial 24-7 Café (open 24 hours a day) including a Joffrey’s Coffee stand as well as the Eclipse Lobby Lounge. My youngest was all about the ‘blue doughnut’ they had to offer. Talk about convience!
There is also a Director of Fun available for additional family-friendly activities as well as a Kids Corner! Now what about making life easier for the adults when it comes to traveling? The best service when it came to our traveling back to the airport was the access to a luggage free last day! You can get your boarding passes delivered to your room and your baggage checked in for your flight home from the resort lobby. No worrying about wrangling kids and luggage after a Disney vacation. They do it all for you. This was an amazing service.

I can’t forget to mention that it is also a great place for hosting an event or meeting with its 19,000 sq. ft. of meeting and convention space. Definitely a place I would like to host an event or meeting with all its amazing accommodations.
You know what made the stay even better, besides all of the awesome features? The staff! I can’t even describe how awesome they all were.
