It has been way too long since the last time I did a craft post! Don’t y’all agree? St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect holiday for creating any type of craft. With things being chaotic right now, no better time to think all things rainbow and good luck. Here is an easy rainbow craft for this weekend!
Rainbows…a promise.
I love the concept that has been given to rainbows. It is seen as a promise and an image of hope. What a beautiful part of St. Patrick’s Day to celebrate. I, of course, had to go with the rainbow craft because of these very reasons. With all the fear present in our communities, I needed a sense of hope and promise. So here is to a craft that will be perfect for all kids!
Easy for little hands.
I have 3 kids, one who is almost 9 to my youngest who is a little over 3 years old. It is good to have a craft that all 3 can do together. Believe me, my youngest believes she is as grown as Ryleigh. This rainbow craft is perfect for not only her little hands, but also for my oldest! I know pipe cleaners can make some a little nervous due to the ends being a little pointy. You can quickly fix this by folding the ends of the pipe cleaners in to give them a more rounded end.
Plus, this craft only needs 4 things: glue, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and cotton balls. I grabbed all of this from Target. Hello Target Drive Up Pick Up for those who are not wanting to go into any busy public places right now with kids. I can’t forget to mention that I got the popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners on sale! This momma doesn’t need the treasure at the end of the rainbow when she has Target 😉
Rainbow Craft Steps
1. Carefully wrap each pipe cleaner around the popsicle stick. I went with 2 pipe cleaners of each color to fill in the popsicle stick more.
2. After the pipe cleaners have been wrapped around the popsicle stick, spread glue onto the parts of the pipe cleaner wrapped onto the popsicle stick. Then stretch out some of the cotton balls and place them onto the glue.
3. Let dry and enjoy those rainbows!
