A fun spin on spaghetti and meatballs, Meatball Pie Cups!
A family favorite for us is spaghetti and meatballs. We love to make a big batch at the begining of the week. Then we will eat it throughout the week. By the end of the week, we like to switch things out and serve the meatballs as a meatball sub. Now we have another way of enjoying these left over meatballs. These Meatball Pie Cups bascially take those meatballs with a little bit of sauce and place them in the middle of mini pie crusts. Add a little bit of shredded cheese, and that is it!
All you need is mini pie crusts, spaghetti sauce and meatballs!
I love recipes that you can switch up. As I mentioned above, we love spaghetti and meatballs. It then can become meatball subs. For these, the only extra step is to bake the mini pie crusts. Once the pie crusts are baked, you just add the already prepared meatballs and sauce!
Ingredients
1 package of Pillsbury Mini Pie Crusts
12 meatballs
1-2 cups spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup of mozarella cheese or parmesean cheese
Optional : 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning for sprinkling on pie crusts
Steps for these Meatball Pie Cups.
Not much more to explain for these Meatball Pie Cups. Once you have your spaghetti sauce on already cooked meatballs and pie crusts are baked according to the directions on the package, you will assemble. Place a small amount of spaghetti sauce in pie cup.
Add meatball to the center and top with cheese. Bake at 400 until the cheese melts. And voila! Serve these Meatball Pie Cups warm!
