Bats bats bats!
Spooky season is officially here for this family, and I am so excited! I used to not be a huge fan of Halloween (even though I am a huge fan of all the scary movies). It was not until after I had kids that I realized how much fun Halloween can really be. It is all in how you make it out to be. Well, I am making it batty with these Cookie Dough Bat Bites.
Cookie Dough Bat Bites that are more than batty.
Do you like cookie dough? Maybe you are the one who will occasionally sneak a piece of cookie dough when you are in the process of baking cookies? If this is you, then look no further. Since Pilsbury has come out with the Raw & Safe cookie dough, our fridge has been stocked weekly with cookie dough. No joke 😉
I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to create something fun with cookie dough. Enter in these Cookie Dough Bat Bites. The are too simple to not add to your Halloween treat menu!
How simple are these?
Let’s just say the hardest part for me was not getting the melted chocolate everywhere or not eating the cookie dough rounds in the process. I went with the ready to bake cookie dough pieces so I didn’t have to scoop or shape out the cookie dough for the bats.
All I had to do was melt the chocolate melts, cut Oreos in half (which I went with the Halloween themed Oreos-why not?), and then create the bats! Since the cookie dough is already cold, it won’t take the melted chocolate long to harden around the cookie dough pieces.
WHo needs cake balls when you have Cookie Dough Bat Bites?
I may be kidding a little here. If you want a great treat idea that takes cake balls to a different level, then you need to try out these Cookie Dough Bat Bites this Halloween. I went with cookies and cream cookie dough, but you can choose any other Pilsbury cookie dough flavor! What gets better than that?
Cookie Dough Bat Bites
Looking for a simple 3 ingredient halloween treat? These Cookie Dough Bat Bites are not only spooky, but yummy and only 3 ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1 package of Pilsbury (Raw and Safe) Cookie Dough
- 1 package of Chocolate Melts (brown color)
- 12 Oreos, cut in half
- Candy eyes
Instructions
- Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the Oreos in half; set aside
- Melt the chocolate melts according to the package (I usually microwave in a microwave safe bowl, 30 seconds at a time, stirring between to make sure all the chocolate is melting and not burning at the bottom)
- Dip the cookie dough pieces into the melted chocolate. I just use a fork and dip them in to make sure they get fully covered. Then place them on the parchment paper.
- As soon as you get them dipped, add the Oreo halves by pushing them into the sides to create the bat wings.
- Then add the candy eyes.
- The chocolate melts will start to harden quickly since the cookie dough is already chilled.
- You will want to store these cookie dough bat bites in the refrigerator.
- Enjoy!!
Trick or Treat, give me some Bats to eat!
Never would I think I would be saying that phrase 😉 These Cookie Dough Bat Bites are really that good though! If you decide to try out a different cookie dough flavor, let me know! I hope you enjoy these as much as we do.
