I have had my mind on a roll lately trying to think of all the fun and easy crafts I can do with the kids. With it being Easter in a few days, you can guess what type of crafts I have been putting together. This bunny egg crate craft is both fun and easy, even for little hands.
Bunny Egg Craft that had my toddler excited.
My kids love crafts. It can be difficult to find crafts that are great for all 3 of my kids, especially my toddler. When I find one my older 2 love, it is normally one that my toddler can’t do. The great thing about this craft is that it is all about the fun and creativeness. The older kids can make it more difficult by how they want to create their bunny. My toddler can keep it as simple as she wants.
So what do you need?
For this craft you only need an egg crate, cotton ball, The Sprouting Minds Rabbit Ears Craft, glue, and whatever other art supplies you want to use: googly eyes, marker, crayons, more smaller sized pom poms. You will need scissors to cut out the bunny ears and the egg crate.
Assembling the bunny.
Now for the fun part of this craft: assembling! This craft is all about being creative, but you can start with the basic bunny structure.
- The egg crate will become the body of the bunny, opening facing down.
- You will then glue a cotton ball on to the top of the egg crate to give way to the bunny’s head.
- Next, glue on the bunny ears you cut out from the printable: The Sprouting Minds Rabbit Ears Craft . These ears can be colored beforehand. You are going to want to shape these bunny ears because they are larger ears to make it easier for cutting out and plain out more adorable!
- The rest is up to the child. Eyes, nose, and a mouth can be added to the cotton ball. A cute little bunny tail can be added as well!
Keeping it simple and ‘hoppy’ this year!
With all that is going on right now, keeping it simple may be the easiest route. If you are looking for a craft that is perfect for kids and one that celebrates both spring and Easter, then this bunny egg crate craft is for you! Hoping you all have a wonderful Easter this year!
