Mississippi Sin Dip with Brie

December 13, 2018 · In: More Recipes

This post is sponsored by Joan Of Arc Cheese but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

The phrase, “You can take the girl out of Mississippi, but you can’t take Mississippi out of the girl” is more than true for me. I am a southern girl through and through. Even though I am just one state away from Mississippi, I still love to find ways to keep those Mississippi roots going. My southern accent along with my favorite Mississippi Sin dip will always stick around. If you have never tried Mississippi Sin dip, you are truly missing out on all its deliciousness!

Mississippi Sin dip is only a mixture of cheese and ham pieces, that’s it! Something about cheese and ham all heated up in a bread bowl makes my heart happy. This recipe adds a little twist to the classic Mississippi Sin dip and uses Joan of Arc® Double Creme Brie as the main cheese.

Y’all, this dip is more than delicious and the Joan of Arc®Double Creme Brie gives it that creamy and buttery texture like no other cheese dip. It lasted, no lie, less than 10 minutes in my house. My kids (and myself) devoured it as soon as we placed it in on the plate.

Serving Mississippi Sin Dip

Mississippi Sin dip is best served warm, making this brie cheese extra yummy! It can be eaten with pita chips, a thicker cracker, or pieces of the bread bowl itself. I guess you could always just eat it with a spoon if you want. I almost did! This Mississippi Sin dip will be a hit for any special occasion and would be perfect for serving guests this holiday season. Just know that you may want to make double…It is just that good!

I am hoping you all enjoy this recipe with the Joan of Arc® Double Creme Brie as much as this Mississippi native does. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Mississippi Sin Dip with Brie

This Mississippi Sin Dip with Brie is all about cheesy deliciousness with the Joan of Arc® Double Creme Brie and sliced ham pieces all melted inside of a bread bowl. Adds that extra something to any holiday or special occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1 round (8oz) Joan of Arc® Double Creme Brie
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread
  • 5-6 slices thin, deli sliced ham

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. Then prepare the ham by taking all 5-6 slices and rolling them together. Using scissors, cut the end of the ham roll. This makes cutting the ham into little pieces easier!
  • Now prepare the bread bowl. Cut the top fourth off the loaf of bread and carefully hollow out enough of the bottom of the bread so cheese will fit. Cube removed bread; set aside.
  • Before placing cheese round into bread bowl, sprinkle half of the diced ham and half of the italian seasoning into the bottom of the bread bowl.
  • Now place the Joan of Arc®Double Creme Brie round into the bread bowl. Press down on it if needed to make sure it is in the bread bowl good.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the diced ham and italian seasoning on top of the cheese round. Place the top of the bread round on top and wrap in aluminum foil.
  • Place wrapped bread bowl on a cookie sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with pita chips, thick crackers, or the cubed bread pieces reserved earlier.
