Celebrating the red white and blue with a simple patriotic 4th of July Charcuterie!
This summer is seriously flying by way too fast! The 4th of July is a week away, and I am sitting here wondering where this summer has gone. One thing I do know for sure is that it has been one hot of a summer down here in the south. Our temperatures have literally been in the 100’s (say what?!). I love the summer, but not so much that type of heat.
Thankfully we can find ways to cool down, like a fruit filled charcuterie board: Simple Patriotic 4th of July Charcuterie Boad.

When cooling off is needed, just add fruit and water.
One of my go-to’s when the temperatures get absolutely ridiculous is run indoors. Okay, I know I don’t run inside every time the temps rise above 90. I do love me some a.c. though 😉 Adding any type of water element is a must. From sprinkler fun, pool swimming, water hose playing fun as well as all that fruit that is not only nutritious but a great way to hydrate.

My number one fruit for this is normally watermelon. Let’s be honest. I do pull out the watermelon at some point during the 4th of July festivities. For this snack board, I wanted to incorporate elements that were very vibrant and didn’t completely water down my charcuterie board. Enter in these fruits: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. These 4 fruit friends are my family’s favorite. Another mention of family favorite. I decided to use this awesome board that has one of our favorite charcuterie board recipes on it! Grabbed it from CreateMyCookbook (hint- awesome gift idea).

Get those creative juices flowing.
The most fun is assembling your charcuterie board. Everyone has their own style and can add and omit anything. For this simple patriotic 4th of July charcuterie board, I only had fruits, cheese, and crackers. You can most definitely add meat or even veggies. I went with these ingredients because I knew my kids would devour it and could always eat a small sandwich along with it. So what are you wanting on?
