No monkey business with this easy 4 ingredient monkey bread.
I know everyone has at least one recipe that is a family favorite. The one that you like to pull out any time of the year, but especially for special occasions. Well, this easy 4 Ingredient Monkey Bread is that recipe for us. I have been making it for as long as I can remember, and I don’t plan on retiring this recipe anytime soon.
What exactly is monkey bread?
If you have never heard about monkey bread, then I apologize! You have been missing out on a fun and cinnamon and sugar deliciousness of a dish. It is where biscuit meets cinnamon sugar. It is where you have that caramel glaze that gives each bite the best flavor.
You know how monkeys like to pick? Well that is where this name comes from. You basically pick off the biscuit pieces to eat. It is much like a pull apart bread, but a sugary breakfast version.
You can add your own version.
Now that you know what monkey bread entails, you can honesty add your own spin to it. I keep it classic unless I feel like going rogue, like this halloween version. How can you change it up? You can add nuts, sprinkles, coloring, different biscuit flavors, the options really can be endless. I have also made this with cinnamon rolls instead of the buttermilk biscuits. That is another option for you!
